Michael Born is a mechanical engineer and has been testing components and system components for over 30 years. He initially gained his experience at the TU Berlin in carrying out industrially funded research projects. Since 1996 he has been involved in component testing in various companies. His experience ranges from the planning and implementation of test series, the design and manufacture of special sensors, the planning and construction of test benches to the complete planning, design and commissioning of test areas.
For many years he led companies that are specialized in component and module testing. In addition to the operational part of the business, his was responsible for sales, purchasing and quality managent and – very importantly – on the selection and training of the employees.
He paid particular attention to the various aspects of quality management. Quality needs to be considered for testing a single component in the same seriousness as for testing larger quantities or testing according to ISO standards. Additionally he can offer help with the accreditation of your test lab in accordance with DIN 17025 or the implementation of Nadcap standards.
Since 2016 Michael Born has also been an independent consultant. His customers include test houses from the automotive and aviation industries as well as research institutions.
